The Park & Recreation Department maintains more than 200 parks and public spaces citywide as well as providing recreational activities and educational programming that makes Fort Worth a great place to live, work and play.

Updates on COVID-19 On Thursday, March 26, the Fort Worth City Council voted to extend the emergency declaration for the City of Fort Worth through April 7 to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Worth Heights Closed Until Spring 2020 Beginning Dec. 2, 2019, Worth Heights Community Center will be closed to undergo renovations. It will reopen in late Spring 2020. Facility updates will include accessibility improvements, a commercial kitchen, and expanded office space for Community Action Partners services. Worth Heights programming has moved to Southside Community Center, 959 E. Rosedale Ave. For more information about current programming, contact 817-392-8722.
