Bubbles bring joy, smiles to Park Glen families
Posted April 22, 2020

A Park Glen family and their neighbors spent Easter Sunday bringing much-needed excitement to far north Fort Worth residents at the first Great Drive-Thru Bubble-In.
The goal was to provide a few minutes of joy and smiles to the neighborhood during this time of isolation. Organizers lined each side of the road with bubble machines so families could drive through and enjoy the wonder and beauty. The event was free, family-friendly and designed for all ages and abilities. All residents needed to do was drive through the bubbles – with their windows up, of course.
More than 40 bubble machines and 6,720 ounces of bubbles were donated or purchased by the organizers, and Grace Community Church donated a safe location with the appropriate parking lot and driveway.
The bubble machines were set up under the covered drive and produced more than 25,000 bubbles per minute. Residents had a blast driving through the bubbles, and smiles were seen on vehicle passengers’ faces.
Daniel Guido, Park Glen resident and event organizer, was thrilled with the results.
“We really wanted to inspire neighbors with creative, joyful solutions to quarantine and to encourage them to build the neighborhood they want to live in.”
