Learn about transit in Tarrant County and options for the future

Register to attend the Tarrant Transit Alliance’s 2020 Transit Academy and learn to lead conversations about the value of multimodal transit and the emerging mass transit options that can address mobility needs in Tarrant County.

The Transit Academy consists of four sessions, each taking place at the Women’s Club of Fort Worth, 1316 Pennsylvania Ave. Cost is $125 for TTA members; $175 for nonmembers. Register online. Scholarships are available for those who qualify.

A preview of the academy sessions:
Session 1: Jan. 27, 5-8 p.m. Economic and social impact of transportation in the region: Learn about the opportunities and disadvantages for the community from an economic and social equity lens.
Session 2: Feb. 10, 5-8 p.m. Scanning the landscape and understanding the current reality: Learn the current and historical state of the system. Answer questions like, “What is working?”, “What are the challenges?” and “How did we get here?”
Session 3: Feb. 24, 5-8 p.m. Identifying models of success and evaluating options in other communities facing transit challenges: Learn the options being evaluated for the community and weigh the costs.
Session 4: March 9, 5-8 p.m. Creating the conversation and engaging the community: Learn how to best advocate for transit improvements.

Tarrant Transit Alliance formed in 2018 to help galvanize the support of transit and transit-oriented development in Tarrant County. The alliance educates the community about the benefits of transit and supports regional strategies that will positively impact the community.
