The City of Fort Worth is hosting a workshop for new and potential businesses interested in becoming a vendor for mowing and landscaping efforts around the city.
The Mowing Contract Workshop will be held from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20 at the Fort Worth Business Assistance Center, 1150 South Freeway. The workshop will help potential vendors navigate the city’s purchasing system, and staff will be available to answer questions about mowing contracts and available inventory.
Registration for the workshop is available online, and it is free to attend.
The city manages more than 377 miles of right of way and 173 miles of median areas, in addition to 1,878 acres of parkland, all of which need regular landscaping attention from late February/early March through November.
Work is available for large and small businesses. Bids will be awarded to multiple businesses, and vendor bids are based on best value, and not lowest cost.
