Recreational programming at local community centers helps seniors stay physically and mentally healthy.

Fort Worth’s community centers are partnering with UnitedHealthcare to provide free center access to seniors age 65 and older who are part of UnitedHealthcare’s Renew Active program.

As part of the Renew Active program, seniors who have an eligible Medicare Advantage Plan insured by UnitedHealthcare Insurance can access all of the amenities that come with a Gold Tier community center fitness membership at no additional cost.

This means that local seniors can take advantage of this opportunity at all 21 of the city’s community centers, and will be able to access all center fitness rooms, gymnasiums, computer labs and more — helping them keep an active body as well as an active mind.

“We’re very excited to be part of this partnership with UnitedHealthcare,” said Sheri Endsley, district superintendent for the Park & Recreation Department. “Between the many fitness activities and other recreational programming going on at the community centers, we’re ideally positioned to help Fort Worth seniors stay physically and mentally healthy.”
