As Fort Worth continues to grow as a hub for creative businesses, the 2019 Business Plan Competition provides a look at many of the city’s developing small businesses and entrepreneurs that are emerging in a variety of fields.

Due to a record number of applications for this year’s competition, the usual participant pool has been expanded from 25 to 30 to accommodate more competitors.

The following businesses will attend five weeks of one-on-one business counseling, professional development workshops and coaching from industry experts through the City of Fort Worth’s Economic Development Department and its many partners, as well as consultation from student coaches at Texas Christian University and the University of Texas at Arlington.

The top participants will be announced at the end of September and will pitch their completed business plan to a panel of judges during Pitch Night on Oct. 10.

Frost Bank is the presenting and training sponsor for the 2019 Business Plan Competition. Tarleton State University is also a training sponsor.
