BRIT Senior Vice President Patricia Harrison visits the U.S. Botanic Garden exhibit Gardens Across America.

The Fort Worth Botanic Garden and the Botanical Research Institute of Texas are featured in a new display at the U.S. Botanic Garden on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

Gardens Across America features vignettes from a selection of gardens across the country. The exhibit spotlights the diversity and beauty of the more than 600 public gardens in the United States. The display showcases the collections and stories of 20 gardens throughout the grounds.

The displays include signature plants and visual elements to provide visitors with a deeper understanding of the gardens’ plants, styles, origins, regional characteristics and missions.

The Gardens Across America exhibit runs through Oct. 1.

BRIT and the Fort Worth Botanic Garden have combined their education and volunteer efforts to launch new and innovative programming. The partnership — called GROW — has resulted in new opportunities for students, families and adults. GROW includes joint programming for the two facilities and a combined volunteer program.
