The Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (FWHCC) named Anette Landeros CEO and president. She takes the post July 15, succeeding John Hernandez.

“Anette’s appointment is a clear reflection of the chamber’s current state: ready to take on the future and fired up after another strong year of growth,” said Michael Dimas, FWHCC board chairman.

Landeros brings more than 10 years of leadership and problem-solving expertise in government and nonprofit sectors to the organization. Most recently serving as project manager for the Office of Inspector General for the U.S. Department of Transportation, Landeros led teams in program evaluations of national transportation projects. She is also adept in nonprofit fundraising from her years of service with the Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas, a statewide nonprofit organization in which she has served in various capacities for more than a decade.

“I look forward to working alongside the FWHCC board of directors, Fort Worth business community and the City of Fort Worth to elevate our city’s economic standing to its maximum potential,” said Landeros. “It will be an honor to invest my professional and personal energy to the prosperity of this organization.”

Having served on the FWHCC board for the past two years, Landeros is well-versed in the chamber’s mission, programs and initiatives. Landeros currently serves as a board member for Carter Bloodcare and has been involved with Fort Worth Sister Cities International, Leadership Fort Worth, Artes de la Rosa Cultural Center for the Arts and several other organizations.

Hernandez, who will leave the CEO post on Aug. 1, expressed confidence in the board’s choice. “Anette’s unique experience with Fort Worth’s business community will benefit the organization,” Hernandez said. “I’m confident that she will help members achieve continued success.”
