Cowtown Cleanup collected 143,000 pounds of trash

Thousands of volunteers fanned out across the city for the 34th annual Cowtown Great American Cleanup, the city’s largest annual litter cleanup and beautification event.

Residents who volunteered at this spring’s Cowtown Great American Cleanup posted some impressive results:

  • 143,346 pounds of trash collected.
  • 6,399 bags of trash collected.
  • 312 miles of roadway cleaned.
  • 66 parks cleaned.
  • 103 miles of waterway cleaned.
  • 5,212 volunteers.
  • 13,915 volunteer hours.
