Neighborhood leaders visited information booths staffed by city departments at last year's workshops.

Each year neighborhood leaders, elected officials, area agencies and city departments come together to share and discover effective ways to actively engage their community. This year’s Mayor’s Community Engagement Workshops & Neighborhood Awards will be held from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Feb. 16 at Doxology Bible Church, 4805 Arborlawn Drive.

The event will connect neighbors with more than 40 exhibitors and 16 educational workshops led by City of Fort Worth leaders, staff and local partners. The highlight of the day will be the Neighborhood Awards Luncheon, which recognizes neighborhood associations’ efforts to revitalize, socialize, engage, collaborate, get healthy and communicate with neighbors with 14 award categories.

Nineteen neighborhood associations have been named 2018 Neighborhood Award finalists in various award categories: Berkeley Place NA, Como NAC, Crawford Farms HOA, Crestwood NA, Eastern Hills NA, Eastgate NA, Fairmount NA, Garden of Eden NA, Harvest Ridge HOA; Heritage HOA; Marine Creek Community Association; Marine Creek Meadows HOA; Mistletoe Heights NA; Quail Ridge Estates Phase II HOA; Ridglea Hills NA; Ridglea North NA; Tanglewood NA; The Trails of Fossil Creek HOA and The Villages of Woodland Springs HOA.
