Summer reading programs are going strong at all 16 branches of the Fort Worth Library, and patrons (adults and children alike) who complete Worth Reading activity cards by July 31 will be entered to win prizes at the end-of-summer celebration at Forest Park Pool, 2850 Park Place, from 1-4 p.m. Aug. 11.

The festivities will include entertainment from the Lone Star Spinners, Que Pastas, limbo contests, face painting, games, swimming and prize presentations by Mayor Betsy Price. Prizes include bikes, tablets, books, event tickets, and more.

The first 700 guests will have their event admissions covered, compliments of the Library. Each guest will receive a voucher for a fresh, hot In-N-Out Burger, and can also enjoy activities from Worth Reading partners like the Amon Carter Museum and the Artes de la Rosa Cultural Center for the Arts.

Worth Reading activity cards should be turned in no later than July 31 to a local library branch. Grand prize winners will be notified Aug. 6-10, and must be present at the celebration at 3 p.m. to claim their prize.
