Limited-edition 2018 jerseys will be available at the rides while supply lasts. They cost $75 each and all proceeds benefit FitWorth activity grants.

Join FitWorth and Mayor Betsy Price to kick off the 2018 Tour de Fort Worth on July 1.

The Tour de Fort Worth is Price’s celebration of the Tour de France that gives cyclists a chance to ride 21 miles or more each day for 21 consecutive days. FitWorth will host numerous organized rides, including walkable and kid-friendly routes.

Last year’s event engaged more than 400 cyclists over 21 days.

The series rolls out at 8 a.m. July 1 at Joe T. Garcia’s, 2201 N. Commerce St. Following a 20-mile ride, breakfast tacos will be served at Joe T’s patio.

The rides will run through July 22, ending with a final ride celebration at Central Market, 4651 West Freeway. View a list of ride dates and locations.

In line with the mission of FitWorth, every organized ride will be accessible to cyclists of all levels and the program will include walkable routes to engage walkers and runners. Some of the organized rides will feature family-friendly routes. On free days, participants can ride on their own or join a group at a designated meeting spot for trail rides.

Helmets are required; lights are necessary for evening rides. Make sure your bicycle is in working order before the ride, and bring your own tools for flat repair.
