Everybody in the water! A new Fort Worth aquatic center opens later in the summer, joining two swimming pools and a splash pad that opened Memorial Day weekend for their summer seasons.

Enhanced Neighborhood Family Aquatic Center at McDonald Southeast YMCA

Swimmers will make their first splash in a full-service aquatic facility in southeast Fort Worth starting July 15, barring any more rain delays.

The City Council agreed to provide a $2.3 million forgivable loan to the YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth to construct an Enhanced Neighborhood Family Aquatic Center in the Renaissance Square development, 2701 Moresby St.

The YMCA will manage the pool and retain all revenues. Due to the public-private partnership, the public will be able to use the facility without a YMCA membership.

Hours are 12:30 -7:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m.-4:30 p.m. Sunday. Entrance fee will be $5 for swimmers 17 and under, $6 for 18 and up. (Pool access is free with a YMCA membership.)

Forest Park Pool

Fort Worth’s oldest public pool, Forest Park Pool, 2850 Forest Park Blvd., will be open 12:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday this summer. Entrance fee is $5 for swimmers 17 and under and $6 for 18 and older.

Marine Park Aquatic Center

The aquatic center at 303 N.W. 20th St. will be open 12:30-6:30 p.m. seven days a week. Entrance fee is $5 for swimmers 17 and under and $6 for 18 and older.

Sycamore Spray Ground

The city also operates a spray ground at Sycamore Community Center, 2525 E. Rosedale St. There is no entry fee. The spray park is open noon-7 p.m. seven days a week.
