Join the Dallas Wings and special guest readers to enhance literacy

The learning doesn’t stop just because it’s Spring Break week.

The Park & Recreation Department has teamed with the Dallas Wings of the WNBA to form Lightning Legacy Readers, a community literacy program.

Young learners, ages 5-13, are encouraged to join guest readers from 10 a.m.-noon March 14 at Highland Hills Community Center, 1600 Glasgow Road.

Guest readers will include the WNBA Dallas Wings, MLB Texas Rangers, the NFL Former Players Association, Eddie Deen, Athletes Are Readers-Readers Are Leaders, Williams Chicken and more.
