Bicyclists and recreational walkers are encouraged to tell a consortium of organizations about their experiences on local roads and trails.

The City of Fort Worth, North Central Texas Council of Governments, Streams & Valleys, Tarrant Regional Water District and Blue Zones Fort Worth are joining forces to make transportation and recreation options better than ever. Together, the groups are updating the city’s bicycle and pedestrian plans, creating the first trails master plan and studying the Trinity River and Trails network. It’s a huge undertaking, and your help is needed.

Take a moment to complete a survey and share where you go, what you do when you get there and how your route could be made safer and smoother. Also, what amenities would enhance your experience? And are there any barriers that make your route difficult or problematic?

The City of Fort Worth will be holding public meetings on the Active Transportation Plan. Residents, business owners and anyone interested in shaping the future of Fort Worth’s citywide bike and pedestrian network are encouraged to attend:

March 20, 6 p.m., Central Library, 500 W. Third St.
March 22, 6 p.m., Northwest Branch Library, 6228 Crystal Lake Drive.
March 26, 6 p.m., Western Hills United Methodist Church, 2820 Laredo Drive.
March 27, 6 p.m., Tarrant County College Opportunity Center, 5901 Fitzhugh Ave.

Report hazardous road, trail or sidewalk conditions online or call 817-392-1234.
