Grab some bargains at the fall book sale

The Friends of the Fort Worth Public Library will host the fall book sale this month.

Members-only tax-free sale day

The Friends host a half-price book sale for members in the bookstore from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 14. The bookstore is in Wedgwood Village at 5332 Trail Lake Drive.

Not a member of the Friends? Join or renew your membership at the door.

Public sale days

Choose from thousands of books, CDs, DVDs, children’s materials, etc. Most items are priced between 50 cents and a dollar. Admission to the sale is $1. There is no charge for members or children. In addition to cash, the Friends accept Mastercard, Visa and Discover.

Sale hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 20 and 21; noon-4 p.m. Oct. 22 (this day is $15 a box day — boxes will be provided). A second $15 a box day will be held 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 28 with free admission.

The Chapter 2 Annexes are at 5314 and 5318 Trail Lake Drive (three doors north of the Friends Book Store).
