Wastewater utility lines to be replaced in some Como, Arlington Heights neighborhoods

Wastewater utility lines will replaced on 15 street segments and alleys in the Como and Arlington Heights neighborhoods as part of a project slated to begin later this month.

Construction is expected to last nine months.

The city’s Water Department will meet with residents at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, at Como Community Center – located at 4700 Horne St. – to discuss the construction schedule and impacts to residents.

After the utility work is completed, a temporary asphalt repair will be done until the street can be scheduled for rehabilitation or reconstruction by the Transportation & Public Works Department.
