The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), Tarrant County and the City of Fort Worth are partnering to construct safety measures on Bonds Ranch Road at the State Highway 287 intersections.

The project is being constructed in two phases. Phase one safety measures include design and construction of a single-lane roundabout at both HWY 287 frontage road intersections. Design and construction are proceeding at the same time with design only slightly ahead of construction.

TxDOT is providing nighttime traffic control for the intersection closures and detours.

Construction for Phase one began October 31, 2016 and will be completed in July 2017.

Phase two of the project will focus on capacity improvements on Bonds Ranch Road. A four-lane roadway from the railroad tracks just west of HWY 287 to FM 156 (Blue Mound Road) will be designed. Intersection improvements include multi-lane roundabouts at Highway 287, Shire Meadow and FM 156.

Design of Phase two is expected to begin in Spring 2018.
