Trinity Metro starts new first-mile/last-mile solution

Trinity Metro is introducing a new service to help employees in the Mercantile area get to work. The Mercantile ZIPZONE begins July 22 and will benefit TEXRail and bus commuters who travel to the Mercantile Center Station.

Salvation Army cooling stations now open

When temperatures are forecast to remain in triple digits for an extended period, the Salvation Army will activate 13 cooling stations to provide lifesaving relief for the homeless, people without air conditioning and those whose jobs require them to work outside. The relief stations are welcoming guests seven days a week, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Public art dedication scheduled for Highland Hills Community Center

The work recalls the African American artistic legacy of quilting and handmade crafts. The artwork will be dedicated at 6:30 p.m. July 23.
