Author Visits

Author talks are back!

As the literary hub of Fort Worth, all fall we’re bringing unique and interesting authors to Library fans.

Presented via ZOOM webinar, guests will hear from authors and have time for Q&A. Depending on the program, autographed copies of the books being discussed are available for purchase from local booksellers. Many of these talks will also be available on our YouTube channel for on-demand viewing and the books will be available in our collection for check-out.

Learn Dream Do

Learn. Dream. Do. Show

Every Tuesday at 10 a.m. join the Library Youth Services team as they explore a new topic each week through languages, crafts, music, puppets, interviews, and more. The show airs on Facebook and YouTube to watch live with friends or on-demand.

Maker 101

Maker 101 interactive programs

Each month Library staff will present a fun, creative project to challenge creators and “makers” of all ages. We will follow each presentation up two weeks later with an interactive program via ZOOM where viewers get to share their creations and talk about their creative process with the staff.

Children's Story Time

New story times

Your youth librarians and staff are excited to offer a variety of story times through online premiers, on-demand in Facebook Watch and YouTube and even live! Until we can gather in larger groups again, explore our new story time options for toddlers, preschoolers and school-age children.

Music performances and presentations

As an integral part of the arts community, we strive to present innovative and unique events for you. This fall we’re bringing you History of Blues in America talk, Third Thursday Jazz performances, live chamber music, music films and performances from Amplify 817 artists.
