Music Streaming

Amplify 817 delivers commercial-free, curated music from Fort Worth artists. This gathering place for Fort Worth music-lovers and musicians inspires discovery and sharing. Presented in partnership with Hear Fort Worth, and sponsored in part by The Fort Worth Public Library Foundation, Amplify 817 celebrates and showcases music native to the city to be experienced by everyone.

The Library and featured artists proudly offer the selected music for free streaming, and Library card-holders can download the featured songs to keep at no cost.

OverDrive offers a wide selection of the most popular authors for adults and children in audiobook and eBook formats, plus streaming video. (Fort Worth Residents only)



The library has dozens of online databases to assist you with homework, legal help, language learning, medical information, crafting, auto repair, genealogy, business and investments, computer skills, magazines and more.

Project Gutenberg


Project Gutenberg is the largest collection of free eBooks on the internet. This collection is mainly focused on many classic works and other titles in the public domain. Available in a wide variety of formats.

The Open Library


The Open Library is an ever-growing virtual catalog with individual webpages for millions of books. Contains a collection of over 1,000,000 free ebooks and as well as an ebook lending program for registered users.
