Global Entrepreneurship Week: Foodie Fest at Texas Wesleyan

A panel of food entrepreneurs will take part in a panel discussion at the new Martin University Center building. The panel features chef Ben Merritt, owner of Fixture and Ben's Triple B, and several other local food entrepreneurs. Enjoy some great local foods, support local food entrepreneurs, and enjoy an afternoon of networking and food sampling.

International Doctor Who Day

On Saturday, Nov. 23, across the City of Fort Worth, Whovians are invited to their local Fort Worth Public Library for a celebration of Doctor Who. Throughout the day, Libraries will host a variety of crafting activites, games and even screenings of episodes from across the decades. All activities are free and family-friendly. Nov. 23 is annually the international celebration of one of the most popular and longest running sci-fi shows of all time: Doctor Who! On this day in 1963 the very first episode aired in the United Kingdom.

The Central Library is your destination for discovery today when you can meet the Fort Worth Zoo's Texas Nature Traders. Learn about the Texas Nature Traders program and all the quests you can take. This is a fun, informative program for children three years and older.

Free Zoo Animal Encounter program at Library

The Fort Worth Public Library will host one of our favorite educational partners, the Fort Worth Zoo's Animal Outreach team for a special program. The Fort Worth Zoo's Animal Outreach team will provide a program that is educational, entertaining and interactive. Outreach programs feature a variety of birds, mammals and reptiles. You will learn all about animals found in your backyard and around the world.

Cliburn Concert at Fort Worth Public Library

Fort Worth Central Library, 500 W. Third St.

Cliburn in the Community and the Fort Worth Public Public Library host a free performance by 2019 Cliburn International Junior Piano Competition Audience Award Winner Avery Gagliano. 6 p.m. Monday, December 9, Central, Gallery Ms. Gagliano will perform works by Chopin, as well as some holiday favorites. The concert is just one of many free musical performances offered at the Library throughout the year. Others include appearances by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, a variety of talented local and nationally known musicians and the annual 3rd Thursday Jazz Concert Series that packs the Gallery each month during the summer.
