There are lots of opportunities for certified Minority, Women, Small, or Disadvantaged-Owned Business Enterprises (M/W/S/DBE) to bid on public and private-sector contracts, increase their capacity and effectively contribute to the economy. The Deadly Weapon Laws of Texas

Presented in conjunction with The Center for Texas Studies at TCU, the Community History Workshop Series is aimed at increasing the historical awareness of the community. Contrary to popular stereotypes, Texas had some of the strictest weapon regulations in the country during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Drawing from a wealth of county criminal records, Rivas will discuss why the laws were put in place, how the laws were enforced, and what happened to people who violated these laws.
